Summer Camps Are Coming!

Dance Collective offers Summer Camps for all of our young dancers needs! From creative movement, supported dance for dancers with diverse needs, to fall conditioning to get ready for the new dance year!

July 12-16th Dance Camps

Camp Descriptions


Creative Dance

1 week long, 2 hours per day

Cost: TBA

This camp is a structured program designed for the early development of rhythm and movement. This camp will provide carefully paced exercises, dances, stories and props to develop physical skills and patterns of movement. Since children naturally respond to music and movement, the activities are presented through music. Children will learn self-discipline, listening skills, coordination skills, and patterns in movement. They will use props such as scarves, balls and bean bags to support body awareness, balance and coordination. The class is designed to improve body awareness and foster self-confidence, emphasizing motor skill development, coordination skills, flexibility and muscle tone. This is the perfect preparatory class for children before beginning introduction to dance, ballet, tap, or jazz.


Dance Camp

1 week long, 2 hours per day (6-9 year olds) 2 1/2 hours per day (10+)

An exciting dance camp that offers a wide range of fun and upbeat movement! In the program, children learn self discipline, listening skills, coordination skills, left and right skills, and patterns in movement, along with numerous dance techniques. All styles and types of dance will be offered in this camp directed to 6-9 year olds, including jazz, lyrical, hip hop, ballet, and highland.


Spirit Flyers Dance Camps

1 week long, 2 hours per day

Cost: TBA


These camps are for children/teens/adults with cognitive and/or physical impairments. This dance camp will expose children/youth/adults to a variety of dance forms such as ballet, creative movement, jazz, and musical theatre. The primary focus is on developing proper technique for dance, expression of self through movement and confidence through personal presentation.


Associated benefits include: the ability to follow instructions, and the development of concentration and socialization skills.


Spirit Flyer Beginner participants will have volunteers to support their participation and movements.


Fall Conditioning Camp

4 - 2 hour sessions

This is the camp to get you ready for your fall dance schedule! We all know as dancers how important it is to have a strong core and flexibility. In these 2 hour training sessions you will work on basic dance techniques, core strength and movement exercises as well as working to develop greater flexibility, and understanding safe flexibility training methods to take your flexibility to the next level.
