Updates to COVID Policy February 2022

Dear Members,

Recently, the provincial government announced changes to the isolation requirements for close contacts of a COVID-19 case. The main change is that only individuals who test positive for COVID-19 are required to self-isolate for five days, regardless of vaccination status. Close contacts will no longer be required to self-isolate, regardless of vaccination status.

All safety protocols remain in place at Dance Collective Studio. Here are some of the measures we are taking to help keep our dance community healthy:

Effective October 15th, 2021 - Proof of vaccination is required for anyone age 12 and up to attend in person classes. Medical exemption from the vaccination requires documentation. Several dancers are turning 12 in the months leading up to the recital. We are asking that these dancers show proof of vaccination when they receive their first dose to one of their instructors.

• Traffic in and out of the studio is restricted to dancers and instructors.

• Masks are mandatory in the studio building, and hand sanitizing upon entry.

• Cleaning before and after each class with time scheduled before and after each class to clean.

• Physical distancing in place during class time.

We are asking all parents to continue to monitor their dancer for covid-19 and flu symptoms. Please keep your dancer at home if they are experiencing symptoms or are sick. All classes are set up with a google classroom and your dancer can participate virtually. Please text your teacher if your dancer is planning on being online during a class, so they have time to set up equipment and a link.
