Updates to COVID Policy February 28th, 2022

Dear Members,

Throughout the pandemic we have erred on the side of caution in our policies, as we are working with so many children from many different schools in close quarters; the safety of the children in our care, as well as our staff and adult classes is something that we take seriously.

As the provincial government is moving to end all COVID restrictions at the end of February, we wish to inform you that our policies will remain the same except for the mandatory masking of dancers and over-12 proof of vaccination. However, all teachers and assistants will continue to be masked during dance classes. We are mask friendly and know that many of our Dance Collective families will continue to mask during class.

We will continue to maintain a policy for attending lessons while ill (COVID or otherwise) and ask that if you are experiencing symptoms or have tested positive that you contact your teacher to inform them that you will be online for your dance class. We cannot express how much we have appreciated the support that you, as parents and students, have provided these past two years, and we feel that there is nothing to be lost from a little extended caution until we reach the summer months.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS THAT REMAIN IN PLACE:

• We are requesting once again that entrance into the building is restricted to dancers and instructors only. This keeps the traffic to a minimum and protects all our dancers.

• We will continue to enforce proper cleaning protocols, hand sanitizing, and as mentioned, recommend mask wearing at all times.
